Sustainable heating is on the rise. And that makes sense because consuming less energy for your heating is not just good for your wallet, but also good for the environment. One of the ways in which you can heat sustainably is by using a heat pump. This article explains why it’s a good idea to combine your radiators with a heat pump!
Heat pump for old radiators: heating your house and sanitary water
Heat pumps have long had a reputation for only being able to produce low temperatures and not being suitable for combining with old radiators. But, technology doesn't stand still for long. Nowadays, there are high temperature heat pumps that you can easily connect to your radiators. The pumps will heat your sanitary water too.
The latest radiators are compatible with a heat pump
The most recent top quality radiators work perfectly with low temperature heat pumps. At Brugman, all our radiators are suitable for low temperature heating (LTH). If your home is well insulated, you can reduce your heating consumption by as much as 30% if you opt for LTH. Focus point: the lower the temperature of the heat pump, the greater the radiator's surface area must be. That is why Brugman pays particular attention to the design and form of these radiators. After all, they have to be nice to look at too don’t they?
Prefer to combine a heat pump and underfloor heating?
Underfloor heating needs a relatively low temperature and is therefore ideal for combining with a heat pump. But it doesn't have to be one or the other. You can easily combine an LTH heat pump with underfloor heating and radiators. Lovely warm feet in the living room and extra space thanks to underfloor heating but also efficient energy consumption thanks to radiators in the areas where you need them. Create the perfect heating plan for your family!
